HALF OF EMPLOYERS BELIEVE THAT CURRENT LABOUR LEGISLATION COSTS JOBS – 8 OUT OF 10 DESIRE INCREASING MODERNISATION OF LABOUR LEGISLATION AFTER UNITY STATUTE

The government must urgently address the continuing renewal of labor law, as stipulated in the coalition agreement. A study by Tempo-Team shows that the current system costs jobs for three out of every four SMEs and for more than half of large companies. In addition to more flexible regulations on working hours, overtime and night work, the status of workers and servants must also be further harmonized. One year after the equalization too many differences between workers and employees still remain. Three out of four large companies regard the unity statute as a good thing. With SMEs this is the case for one out of five. Both agree that the new equality legislation modernized their HR environments, but that it simultaneously placed a burden on their recruitment of full-time employees.
